the workers

muralworks are a group of professional artists and artisans with over 30 years of extensive experience in murals and painting. Based in the Hunter Valley, we create design and hand paint artworks for most surfaces from ground level to great heights specific to clients requests.

Formed in 2017 as a result of having successfully worked on multiple murals together over a number of years, the group muralworks brings the idea of the jazz band dynamic: there is no official leader and each individual brings their own unique talent to the combo. The group has a combined artistic history — encompassing formal fine art/design qualifications and training, extensive experience and business know-how, and a keen willingness and flexibility. Together we offer a new dynamic, rhythm and synchronicity to client projects.

Peter Sesselmann (The Big Picture Guy) is well known for his contribution to the Kurri Kurri Mural Project as well as other murals around the  Hunter Valley. He is a successful painter and gallery owner, a musical instrument designer and musician. Peter’s extensive business experience ensures projects run on budget and on time.

Stevi Cannon (The Detailer) is a fine artist with an Advanced Diploma in sculpture and painting. An exhibiting artist and a successful graphic designer, Stevi has a strong track record of developing concepts that meet client briefs with a unique creative flair. Stevi
is also a music teacher and performer.

Alex Yates (The Can-Do-Guy), is a highly regarded and in-demand bass guitarist. An integral member of the group, Alex brings his keen enthusiasm, flexibility and agility to each new project.
